James Ian is a singer, songwriter, actor, and writer. He lives in Los Angeles where he pursues his passion for art while advocating for authentic representation of Black people and people with disabilities in the arts and entertainment industry. James lives with two rare diseases (Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 3, which is a neuromuscular disorder, and Parsonage-Turner Syndrome, which is a neurological disorder). His goal is to see people with disabilities become more visible in the music industry and to be cast in roles that depict disability.
